BPO Voice Annotation Project Manager

We are seeking a results-driven BPO Voice Annotation Project Manager to oversee end-to-end voice annotation projects, ensuring high-quality, on-time, and cost-effective delivery for our global clients. You will lead a team of voice annotators, coordinate with internal stakeholders (quality control, recruitment, tech support) and external clients, and optimize project processes to meet strict annotation standards (accuracy, consistency, and efficiency). Proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is highly preferred, as the role involves collaborating with Chinese-speaking clients, teams, or handling Mandarin voice annotation projects.

1. Lead and manage the full lifecycle of voice annotation projects, including project planning, resource allocation, task assignment, and delivery oversight to meet client SLAs (Service Level Agreements).
2. Ensure team adherence to annotation guidelines, quality standards, and project timelines; conduct regular quality audits and provide feedback to improve annotation accuracy (target ≥98%).
3. Manage a team of voice annotators: monitor performance, provide training/coaching, resolve workflow bottlenecks, and maintain high team morale and retention (addressing high turnover in BPO settings).
4. Collaborate closely with clients to align on project requirements, provide progress updates, address inquiries, and gather feedback to enhance client satisfaction.
5. Optimize project processes (e.g., workflow design, tool utilization, staffing scheduling) to improve team efficiency, reduce rework, and control project costs.
6. Coordinate with internal departments: work with QC teams to resolve quality issues, partner with recruitment to support team expansion, and liaise with tech teams to troubleshoot annotation tool/software problems.
7. Prepare and submit regular project reports (productivity, quality, progress, costs) to internal management and clients.
8. Stay updated on industry best practices for voice annotation (e.g., dialects, accents, domain-specific terminology) and implement process improvements to enhance project outcomes.

1. Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Linguistics, Computer Science, or a related field; PMP certification is a plus.
2. 2+ years of project management experience in BPO, voice/data annotation, or related fields; proven track record of leading teams to deliver high-quality annotation projects on time.
3. Deep understanding of voice annotation processes, standards, and tools (e.g., annotation platforms, audio editing software); familiarity with domain-specific annotation (e.g., AI/ML training data, speech recognition) is preferred.
4. Strong leadership and team management skills: ability to motivate, train, and develop annotators, and manage performance effectively.
5. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills: ability to collaborate with clients, cross-functional teams, and remote/onsite teams.
6. Proficiency in English (written and spoken) – must be able to communicate with global clients and internal teams.
7. Mandarin Chinese proficiency (spoken and written) is highly preferred – for collaborating with Chinese-speaking clients, managing Mandarin voice annotation projects, or supporting Chinese-speaking team members.
8. Strong problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills; ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
9. Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and process optimization; familiarity with SLA management and cost control in BPO operations.

• Experience with AI/ML training data annotation projects (voice, speech, or natural language processing).
• Knowledge of quality control methodologies for annotation projects (e.g., sampling audits, error analysis).
• Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, Microsoft Project) and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau).
• Experience working with cross-cultural or multilingual teams/clients.
