Job Overview

We are seeking detail-oriented and reliable Data Annotators to support high-quality AI/ML training data preparation. You will be responsible for annotating various types of data (text, speech, image, etc.) according to strict guidelines, ensuring accuracy and consistency to power the development of cutting-edge AI systems. This role is open to Filipino candidates with strong language proficiency and a passion for contributing to technological innovation. Previous experience in data annotation or related fields is a plus, but comprehensive training will be provided for motivated individuals.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Perform accurate annotation of target data (e.g., text classification, speech transcription, image segmentation, named entity recognition) in line with project guidelines and quality standards.
  2. Maintain high annotation accuracy (target ≥98%) through careful review and adherence to predefined rules; identify and flag ambiguous data or guideline inconsistencies to the project team.
  3. Complete assigned annotation tasks within specified deadlines, managing workload effectively to meet project timelines.
  4. Collaborate with the project management team to provide feedback on annotation guidelines, process improvements, and potential bottlenecks.
  5. Ensure compliance with data privacy and security policies, handling sensitive information with strict confidentiality.
  6. Participate in regular training sessions to stay updated on annotation standards, tool usage, and project-specific requirements.
Requirements & Qualifications
  1. High school diploma or above; bachelor's degree in Linguistics, Computer Science, or related fields is a plus.
  2. Excellent proficiency in written and spoken Filipino (Tagalog) and English; proficiency in regional Philippine dialects (e.g., Cebuano, Ilocano) is highly preferred.
  3. Strong attention to detail, ability to follow instructions precisely, and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  4. Basic computer literacy: familiar with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and ability to learn new annotation tools quickly (e.g., RemoteTasks, ScaleAI Annotation Platform).
  5. Ability to work independently in a remote setting or collaborate effectively in a team environment.
  6. Prior experience in data annotation, AI training data preparation, or related fields (e.g., transcription, translation, content moderation) is an advantage but not required.
  7. Good time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines.
  8. Reliable internet connection and a suitable workspace (for remote roles) to ensure uninterrupted work.
Preferred Skills
  • Familiarity with AI/ML concepts or experience in speech/text/image annotation projects.
  • Experience using professional annotation tools (e.g., LabelStudio, VGG Image Annotator).
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to provide constructive feedback.
  • Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and handle repetitive tasks with consistency.
