The Business and Commercial Assistant Manager will lead business initiatives and projects, providing essential support and expertise in their execution. This role will coordinate product development activities with both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment on project objectives across all relevant parties.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct feasibility studies and market research on potential food and non-food product categories; provide actionable insights for development.
- Support product development phases, including forecasts, costing and pricing, marketing strategies, P&L analysis, and scenario planning.
- Apply knowledge of international trade, importation, and distribution processes—covering incoterms, supplier negotiations, shipment arrangements, and related business activities.
- Coordinate and oversee activities across business/product development phases with internal stakeholders.
- Monitor and compile updates on food regulations, import/export transactions, duties, tariffs, and related compliance requirements.
- Prepare regular reports and maintain records of business development activities and communications.
Job Qualifications:
- Graduate of Business Management, Marketing, or related course, with relevant experience in Business Development for food products/FMCG.
- At least 3 years of experience in trading, preferably in international import/export arrangements.
- Strong communication and presentation skills in Filipino and English; proficiency in another language is an advantage.
- Willing to work onsite and in the field, as needed.
- Strong business acumen with solid product knowledge and financial understanding.
- Organized, self-driven, dynamic, and persuasive.
