Overview

The Purchasing Manager is responsible for managing the procurement of materials, equipment, and services essential to the company's operations. This role involves developing sourcing strategies, negotiating with vendors, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring timely delivery of quality goods at competitive prices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, lead, and execute purchasing strategies aligned with company goals.
  • Manage the procurement process from requisition to purchase order and delivery.
  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers; negotiate contracts and pricing agreements.
  • Monitor supplier performance, quality, and compliance with company standards.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to forecast demand and manage inventory levels.
  • Analyze market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities and mitigate risks.
  • Prepare reports on purchasing activity, cost analysis, and supplier performance.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards.
  • Supervise and mentor procurement team members (if applicable).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management.
  • Proven track record in vendor negotiation and contract management.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
