As a Senior AU/UK Accountant, you'll take ownership of financial reporting, statutory compliance, and cross-border collaboration. The Qualifications We Seek

Qualifications & Experience

• 4+ years' hands-on experience in Australian or UK accounting, handling financial reporting and tax compliance
• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or a related accounting field
• Hands-on experience using Xero
• Strong working knowledge of MS Excel and Google Sheets
• Comfortable working with SQL for data extraction and analysis
• Prior work experience in an Australian or UK-based company

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and trend-identification abilities
• Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to manage multiple reporting timelines
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
• Able to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Your Daily Tasks

• Take ownership of internal and external reporting requirements, including monthly management reports, statutory reports, and vendor-facing financial summaries
• Ensure accurate and timely preparation and submission of AU and UK tax obligations (e.g. BAS, IAS PAYG, Corporation Tax, VAT)
• Liaise with external stakeholders such as vendors, auditors, and tax authorities to meet compliance and reporting deadlines
• Drive continuous improvement in reporting processes and templates, ensuring clarity, consistency, and accuracy
• Collaborate with the finance team for month-end and year-end close processes
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and accruals with high attention to detail
• Assist in the design, development, and automation of financial models and dashboards
• Keep abreast of taxation changes, statutory requirements, and accounting standards in AU and the UK
• Contribute to internal audits, compliance checks, and control reviews
• Provide ad hoc financial analysis and insights to support strategic business decisions
