Key Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to maintaining accurate financial records. These include, but are not limited to:

  • Accounts Payable (A/P) & Accounts Receivable (A/R):
  • Process and record all vendor invoices and payments in a timely manner.
  • Generate and send client invoices, monitor collections, and record all receipts.
  • Reconciliation:
  • Perform monthly reconciliation of all bank and credit card accounts to ensure accuracy.
  • Verify and reconcile subsidiary accounts to the general ledger.
  • General Ledger:
  • Maintain the chart of accounts and record all financial transactions (journal entries).
  • Assist in the month-end and year-end close process.
  • Payroll:
  • [ONLY IF APPLICABLE: Process bi-weekly/monthly payroll, including calculation of wages, tax withholdings, and deductions.]
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local tax regulations related to payroll.
  • Reporting:
  • Prepare and generate key financial reports, including Profit & Loss statements and Balance Sheets, for management review.
  • Assist with budget tracking and variance analysis.
  • Compliance & Filing:
  • Manage and file sales tax, use tax, and other required business tax forms [specify types if necessary].
  • Maintain an organized and accessible filing system for all financial records and documents.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: [e.g., Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, OR equivalent work experience].
  • Experience: 1-2 years of demonstrable experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar financial role.
