Job Summary

  • The IT Product Manager, as the Product Owner, is responsible for managing the product lifecycle from ideation to delivery. This role is heavily engaged with Business Units (BUs) and will have direct ownership of the product roadmap, ensuring alignment between business goals and the IT product strategy. The Product Manager will work closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs, prioritize features, and drive product development, ensuring that the products meet user needs and deliver value to the business.

Roles and Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Roadmap Ownership

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to define product visions and roadmaps aligned with organizational goals.

  • Develop and maintain detailed product roadmaps that outline product releases milestones, and key performance indicators (KPIs).

  • Prioritize features and product enhancements based on business value, customer feedback, and market trends.

  • Own the product roadmap, ensuring it reflects both business and user needs, strategic goals, and market trends.

  • Collaborate closely with Business Units (BUs) to align product strategies with business objectives and drive successful product outcomes.

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Act as the main point of contact for Business Units, gathering their requirements, ensuring their concerns are addressed, and ensuring that their expectations are met.

  • Collaborate with engineering, design, marketing, and operations to ensure that the product vision is executed on time and within scope.

  • Lead discussions with BU stakeholders to define product features, benefits, and functionality, ensuring the product meets market and customer demands.

Product Lifecycle Management

  • Manage the end-to-end product lifecycle, including planning, development, launch, and ongoing improvements.

  • Oversee product performance metrics and KPIs to ensure product success.

  • Ensure timely and successful delivery of product releases, meeting quality standards and business expectations.

  • Drive continuous improvement based on feedback from BUs, customers, and performance analytics.

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

  • Maintain strong, ongoing communication with Business Units to ensure transparency, manage expectations, and gather feedback.

  • The product roadmap is consistently up to date, aligned with business unit (BU) priorities, and reflects both short-term and long-term strategic goals.

  • The IT Product Manager has built strong, ongoing relationships with Business Units (BUs), ensuring their needs are prioritized and effectively translated into actionable product features. BUs consistently express high satisfaction with how their needs are addressed.

  • The product vision is clear, communicated across teams, and successfully executed, leading to the development of products that directly meet business goals and user requirements.

  • Products are delivered on time, within scope, and meet or exceed the expected quality standards, as outlined in the roadmap.

  • Products consistently meet KPIs such as user adoption, engagement, satisfaction, and retention. Metrics for product success are consistently tracked, showing measurable business value such as increased revenue, market share, or user satisfaction.

  • Business Unit leaders and other stakeholders are confident in the product strategy and the execution of the roadmap. The IT Product Manager ensures transparency, communicates product updates regularly, and addresses concerns in a timely manner.

  • The IT Product Manager actively collects feedback from BUs, users, and performance data, leading to product improvements and iterations that enhance user experience and business outcomes.

  • The IT Product Manager fosters a strong, collaborative relationship between business, IT, design, and development teams, ensuring smooth communication and alignment toward successful product launches.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.

  • 5 years of experience in product management, Business Analysis, Project Management, System Analysis and related fields.

  • Understanding on the development and managing product roadmaps and execution on product strategies.

  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and product lifecycle management.

  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret product data and customer feedback.

  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams effectively.

  • Experience with product management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Aha).
