We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive
Accountant/ Finance Officer
to join our finance team. The role is responsible for managing daily accounting operations, preparing accurate financial reports, overseeing payroll, ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulations, and supporting the business with financial analysis and process improvements. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting skills, organizational ability, and the capacity to collaborate across departments.

Responsibilities:

Accounting & Financial Reporting

• Perform month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, accrual analysis, and reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts
• Process daily accounting transactions, including petty cash management and reconciliation
• Prepare monthly Balance Sheet and Income Statement reports, financial analyses, and management presentations
• Assist in financial forecasts, cash flow projections, and budgeting activities
• Reconcile daily financial transactions and coordinate with banks as necessary
• Support audits by preparing schedules and providing requested documentation
• Manage and supervise A/P and A/R functions, ensuring timely invoice approvals and payment processing
• Review A/P aging reports and vendor payment requests

Payroll & Employee Benefits

• Process bi-monthly payroll using an online system, ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Ensure end-to-end payroll processing is completed bi-monthly, without disputes
• Set up new employees in the payroll system
• Manage 13-month salary and employee tax processes effectively with no delay
• Pay and reconcile employee benefit accounts, such as HMO, by the deadline

Internal Controls & Compliance

• Establish, implement, and maintain internal controls to ensure data integrity and compliance with PFRS and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in implementing new accounting policies, procedures, and process improvements.
• Create, maintain, and update a Finance process manual
• Maintain strict confidentiality in all financial matters

Other Duties

• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial information and resolve discrepancies.
• Drive continuous improvement and efficiency in business processes.
• Perform other special projects and ad hoc assignments as required

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum 3+ years' experience in general accounting
• Exceptional attendance and reliability
• Experience in processing payroll for a Philippine entity is essential
• Proficiency with accounting and payroll software, as well as Microsoft Excel
• Solid financial and commercial acumen
• Experience in financial data analysis and reconciliations
• Familiarity with monitoring payables, supporting cost savings initiatives, and cash flow tracking
• Willingness to assist with process improvements and internal controls/risk assessments
• Collaborative approach to ensuring compliance with regulations and policies
• Detail-oriented with a proven track record of timely, accurate financial reporting
• Knowledge of tax computation and return preparation
• Ability to manage financial records and ensure data integrity
• Proficiency in contributing to and updating financial process manuals
• Excellent communication for financial guidance and cross-departmental
