Major Function:

As a Sales/Account Officer for Business Loans, you will play a vital role in helping entrepreneurs, business owners, and individual clients gain access to financial solutions that fuel their growth and success. You will oversee the end-to-end loan process—from prospecting and evaluation to credit approval preparation and account management—ensuring timely loan releases and sustainable repayment performance.

This role requires a balance of sales drive, financial analysis, and strong relationship management. While your primary focus will be on expanding Makati Finance Corporation's Business Loan portfolio, you will also promote and support our other financial products—such as Doctor's Loans, Micro Business Loans, Big Bike Loans, and more—allowing you to maximize client value, broaden your expertise, and expand your sales potential, all while upholding the highest standards of compliance and risk management.

What you'll be doing?

  1. Sales Generation & Market Development

    • Source and pursue new business opportunities through fieldwork, referrals, and digital platforms.

    • Execute sales and marketing strategies to achieve and exceed loan targets.
  2. Client Engagement & Conversion

    • Deliver persuasive product presentations, conduct client site visits, and ensure thorough Know Your Customer (KYC) compliance.

    • Facilitate smooth loan applications by securing client requirements and ensuring efficient documentation.
  3. Credit Evaluation & Approval Preparation

    • Conduct comprehensive credit and financial assessments to evaluate client eligibility.

    • Prepare and endorse complete credit approval packages for management and committee decision-making.

    • Ensure loan proposals comply with company policies, credit standards, and regulatory guidelines.
  4. Portfolio & Relationship Management

    • Manage client accounts to ensure timely repayments and minimize delinquencies.

    • Build strong client relationships while cross-selling other MFC financial products to maximize business opportunities.
  5. Team Contribution

    • Collaborate with internal departments to streamline loan processing and enhance client experience.

    • Support the team in achieving overall business goals by taking on additional responsibilities as needed.

What we're looking for?

  • A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Management, or any related field
  • At least 2 years of experience as a Sales Officer, Loan Officer, or in a similar customer-facing financial services role
  • Strong understanding of mortgage and loan products, including credit assessment and approval processes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients
  • Highly detail-oriented, with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and capable of preparing accurate documentation
  • A strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service
