We are looking for a Settlements Support Officer to join our Lending team and play a vital role in ensuring smooth post-settlement processes. You'll provide essential support to the Settlement Team by managing workflow, maintaining accurate records, and completing all post-settlement actions efficiently and on time. This role is perfect for someone with hands-on Australian mortgage experience who enjoys working in a structured, team-oriented environment.
About the Role:
As a Settlements Support Officer, you'll support the Settlement Team by overseeing post-settlement activities for recently settled loans. You'll manage workflow and service level agreements, track loan progress, and ensure all records and actions are accurate. Working closely with the Team Leader, you'll help identify opportunities for training and process improvements, provide performance updates, and contribute to the team's overall success. This role also offers the flexibility to take on additional responsibilities based on your skills and interests, making it a dynamic and integral part of the Lending team.

What You'll Be Doing
- Ensure all post-settlement actions are completed accurately, securely, and within SLA
- Verify and update loan details, including amounts, terms, interest rates, Direct Debits, statements, and tax residency in the core banking system
- Generate, review, and issue Settlement Welcome Letters and other customer communications, ensuring accuracy and proper system uploads
- Review and update Solicitor Certification documents, including contact and communication details
- Set reminders for customers and internal staff to support repayments and post-settlement tasks, including downloading security packets
- Report any breaches, errors, complaints, or issues to the Settlements Team Leader
- Complete at least 20 CPD points annually to maintain compliance with company policies and industry standards
About You
- Minimum 2 years' experience in post-settlement, banking, or home loan lending, using core banking systems
- Knowledge of Direct Debit processes and industry regulations in mortgage lending
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook
- Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal
- Detail-oriented and able to work accurately in a structured team environment
