About the role

As a Malatang chef at Select Goods', you will play a key role in delivering an exceptional dining experience to our customers in our restaurant located in Fairview, Quezon City Metro Manila. This is a full-time position that will see you crafting and preparing authentic Malatang dishes using the finest locally-sourced ingredients.

What you'll be doing

  1. Prepare and cook a range of Malatang dishes to the highest standard
  2. Source and select fresh, seasonal ingredients to create flavourful and visually appealing meals
  3. Ensure all health, safety and hygiene standards are upheld in the kitchen
  4. Work collaboratively with the front-of-house team to deliver excellent customer service
  5. Stay up-to-date with trends and developments in Malatang cuisine
  6. Mentor and train junior chefs to elevate the overall culinary standards

What we're looking for

  1. Significant experience as a Malatang chef, preferably in a restaurant environment
  2. Excellent culinary skills and a deep knowledge of Malatang cooking techniques and flavour profiles
  3. Strong time management and multitasking abilities to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen
  4. A keen eye for detail and presentation to create visually stunning dishes
  5. Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with front-of-house staff
  6. A passion for using locally-sourced, sustainable ingredients
