About the role

As a Malatang Chef Assistant at Select Goods', you will play a vital role in the company's Fairview, Quezon City restaurant. In this full-time position, you will work closely with the Head Chef to prepare and serve authentic malatang dishes, ensuring an exceptional dining experience for our customers. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality and culinary arts, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

What you'll be doing

  • Assist the Head Chef in preparing, cooking and plating malatang dishes according to established recipes and standards
  • Ensure all ingredients are properly measured, prepped and stored
  • Maintain a clean and organized work station to support efficient meal preparation
  • Monitor inventory levels and inform the Head Chef of any shortages or supply needs
  • Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and addressing any concerns
  • Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations
  • Support the team in other kitchen duties as required

What we're looking for

  • At least 1 years of experience as a Chef Assistant or in a similar culinary role
  • Strong knowledge of malatang cuisine and techniques
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Excellent attention to detail and dedication to food quality and presentation
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Willingness to learn and take on new challenges
  • Food handling certificate or equivalent qualification
