About the Role
As an Assistant Branch Manager, you will play a key supporting role in ensuring the daily operations of the restaurant run smoothly and efficiently. Working closely with the Branch Manager, you'll supervise staff, oversee service quality, manage inventory, and help drive sales performance. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and the ability to step up and lead the branch in the absence of the Branch Manager while maintaining high standards in food, service, safety, and team performance.

Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Evaluate employee performance and oversee the daily operations of the restaurant as directed by the Branch Manager.
- Step in and perform the Branch Manager's duties when necessary.
- Supervise and manage all employees in the absence of the Branch Manager.
- Ensure that the quality of food, beverages, and customer service consistently meets high standards.
- Ensure the well-being and safety of employees within the workplace.
- Assist in proposing improvements to the food, beverage offerings, and overall service.
- Plan and manage inventory, as well as handle daily supply orders.
- Set sales targets, monitor performance, and provide regular sales reports to meet business goals.
- Report daily operations and update the Branch Manager on key activities and any issues.
- Complete tasks assigned by the Branch Manager or supervisors in a timely and effective manner.
- Address and resolve immediate customer and operational issues efficiently.
- Ensure clear communication of promotional activities to staff, ensuring full understanding.
- Receive payments from customers for food and related items. This includes handling cash, credit card transactions, bank transfers, or recording payments via mobile applications.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
- Leadership: Ability to manage, motivate, and guide staff, including stepping in for the Branch Manager when needed.
- Operational Efficiency: Oversee daily operations, manage inventory, and ensure smooth functioning across departments.
- Customer Service: Maintain high service standards and resolve customer issues effectively.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication with staff and the Branch Manager.
- Problem-Solving: Quickly resolve operational and customer service challenges.
- Sales & Financial Management: Assist with sales targets, monitor performance, and manage costs.
- Training: Train and develop staff to meet company standards.
- Multitasking: Manage multiple tasks efficiently, especially during busy periods.
- Attention to Detail: Ensure quality control and safety standards are maintained.
- Technology: Proficiency with POS systems and basic computer tools like Excel and G Suite.
- Adaptability: Ability to adjust to changing environments and priorities.
- Health & Safety: Knowledge of safety regulations to ensure a safe workplace.
Specific Requirements for the Position:
- Education: Vocational Certificate or higher in Business Management, Food and Beverage Management, or related fields.
- Experience: A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in restaurant management or service-related businesses.
- Technical Skills: Basic computer skills and familiarity with POS/Inventory systems.
- Language Skills: Basic proficiency in English communication (both written and verbal).
