Global Forwarding Business Development Manager

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Global Forwarding Business Development Manager to join our team. As the Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for expanding our international freight forwarding business by identifying new opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and driving revenue growth. The ideal candidate has a strong background in freight forwarding, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of successfully developing and implementing business strategies.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement strategic business development plans to expand our international freight forwarding business.
Identify new market opportunities and potential clients through market research, networking, and lead generation activities.
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, freight forwarders, carriers, and other key stakeholders.
Conduct client meetings, presentations, and negotiations to secure new business and retain existing clients.
Collaborate with the operations team to ensure efficient and timely execution of freight forwarding services.
Prepare and present proposals, quotations, and contracts to prospective clients, ensuring alignment with company objectives and profitability targets.
Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and develop strategic initiatives.
Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to represent the company and network with potential clients and partners.
Provide regular updates, reports, and forecasts on business development activities, pipeline, and revenue projections.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, operations, customer service, and finance, to drive business growth and customer satisfaction.
RequirementsRequirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
Has 5-10 years experience in international freight forwarding
Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management within the international freight forwarding industry.
In-depth knowledge of international trade, customs regulations, transportation modes, and logistics operations.
Strong network of contacts within the freight forwarding industry, including clients, carriers, and industry associations.
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence decision-makers.
Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic business plans, achieve sales targets, and drive revenue growth.
Results-oriented mindset with a track record of meeting or exceeding business development objectives and KPIs.
Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other business development tools.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
