Job Summary:

The Junior Architect / Project Coordinator assists in the design, coordination, and implementation of architectural projects. The role requires excellent communication and organizational skills, with responsibilities covering both office-based project documentation and on-site coordination. Strong skills in design and documentation are an advantage.


Key Responsibilities:

Project Coordination

  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Attend coordination and site meetings; prepare minutes and follow up on action items.
  • Track project schedules, deliverables, and progress reports in coordination with the Project Architect or Project Manager.
  • Facilitate communication between the design office and the site team.

Site Inspection & Monitoring

  • Conduct regular site visits to check construction progress and ensure quality and compliance with approved plans.
  • Prepare site observation reports and assist in resolving on-site issues.
  • Review shop drawings and material submissions for consistency with design intent.

Design & Documentation (advantage)

  • Assist in developing design concepts, schematic plans, and detailed working drawings.
  • Prepare architectural documentation, presentations, and material specifications.
  • Support design revisions and documentation updates as projects progress.
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance with local codes, standards, and project requirements.

Communication & Administrative Tasks

  • Maintain clear, timely, and professional communication among all project stakeholders.
  • Organize and maintain project files, drawings, and correspondence.
  • Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and client deliverables.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture.
  • 1–3 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of construction methods, detailing, and materials.
  • Willing to conduct regular site visits and coordination meetings.
  • Design and documentation experience is a strong advantage.
  • Licensed Architect (or working towards licensure) preferred.
