The
Parts and Supply Logistics Specialist
is responsible for managing the flow of automotive spare parts and accessories from suppliers to the distributor and dealer network. This role ensures timely availability, proper inventory control, and efficient logistics operations to support aftersales and service performance.

Key Responsibilities

Supply Chain & Procurement

  • Coordinate with OEMs, regional warehouses, and local suppliers for parts ordering, replenishment, and forecasting.
  • Monitor supplier lead times, shipping schedules, and ensure on-time delivery.
  • Handle international and local shipments including customs clearance and compliance.
  • Negotiate delivery terms and manage logistics provider relationships.

Inventory Management

  • Maintain optimal stock levels balancing availability and cost.
  • Conduct demand planning based on dealer consumption, vehicle population, and trends.
  • Classify parts movement (fast, medium, slow, non-moving) and implement stock rotation.
  • Manage obsolete, overstock, and back-order items with corrective action plans.

Logistics & Distribution

  • Oversee warehouse operations for receiving, storage, and dispatch of parts.
  • Ensure proper packing, labeling, and transportation to dealers/service centers.
  • Monitor order fulfillment and delivery performance.
  • Implement process improvements for efficiency and cost savings.

Systems & Reporting

  • Utilize WMS (Warehouse Management System) for inventory and order processing.
  • Generate reports on stock turnover, fill rates, and logistics KPIs.
  • Support implementation of digital tools such as e-parts catalogues and online ordering systems.

Cross-Functional Support

  • Collaborate with Aftersales, Service, and Sales to align parts availability with market demand.
  • Support warranty claims processing by ensuring parts supply.
  • Assist dealers with ordering and delivery issues.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.

Experience:

  • 3–5 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or parts operations, preferably in an
    automotive distributor company
    .
  • Hands-on experience in inventory planning, importation processes, and warehouse operations.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of supply chain processes, logistics flow, and inventory control.
  • Familiarity with
    automotive parts catalogues (EPC)
    .
  • Proficient in MS Excel (pivot tables, data analysis) and reporting.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills with cross-functional teams and external partners.


Experience in the automotive industry is highly preferred.
