Position Summary:

The General Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies. This role plays a key part in managing the company's financial health, analyzing data, and supporting management in decision-making.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Financial Recording & Reporting

  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow).
  • Record daily financial transactions in the accounting system.
  • Ensure all journal entries are complete, correct, and properly documented.
  • Monitor and reconcile general ledger accounts.

2. Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable

  • Process invoices, payments, and reimbursements.
  • Monitor customer accounts and ensure timely collection of receivables.
  • Prepare aging reports and follow up on overdue accounts.
  • Ensure all payables are accurate and paid on schedule.

3. Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Assist in preparing annual budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Compare actual results vs. budget and provide variance analysis.
  • Help management identify financial trends and potential issues.

4. Compliance & Tax Management

  • Ensure compliance with BIR requirements and local government regulations.
  • Prepare and file government reports (BIR forms, SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG if needed).
  • Assist in tax calculations and coordination with external auditors.
  • Maintain proper documentation for audit purposes.

5. Cash Management

  • Monitor daily cash flow and bank balances.
  • Prepare bank reconciliation statements.
  • Ensure proper handling and safekeeping of financial documents.

6. Internal Controls & Process Improvement

  • Implement and maintain accounting policies and internal controls.
  • Review financial processes and recommend improvements.
  • Prevent discrepancies by conducting regular checks and reconciliations.

7. Coordination & Support

  • Work closely with management, suppliers, and internal departments.
  • Provide financial insights to support business decisions.
  • Assist in year-end closing and audit preparations.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Php18, Php20,000.00 per month
