About the role

G-Star Subic Inc. is seeking an experienced Chief/Supervisor of Accounting to join our team at our Subic Bay Freeport Zone location. As a full-time position, you will oversee the entire accounting function, ensuring accurate and efficient financial management for the company. Your strategic leadership will be crucial in aligning our accounting practices with the company's broader objectives.

What you'll be doing

  1. Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting
  2. Develop and implement effective accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard the company's assets
  3. Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, budgets, and other financial reports for management and external stakeholders
  4. Manage the accounting team, providing mentorship and guidance to ensure high-quality work
  5. Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and legal requirements
  6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making
  7. Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance the efficiency of the accounting function

What we're looking for

  1. Qualified accountant with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a senior accounting or supervisory role, preferably in the manufacturing industry
  2. Graduate of Bachelor Science in Accountancy pass the licensure CPA
  3. Male/Female.
  4. Thorough understanding of accounting principles, standards, and best practices
  5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights
  6. Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
  7. Proficient in the use of accounting software and Microsoft Office applications
  8. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate financial records
  9. Experience in implementing effective internal controls and risk management strategies
