Job Title: Accounting Assistant - The Nest By The Sea
Job Summary
The Nest By The Sea, a premier local establishment, is seeking a diligent and organized Accounting Assistant to join our administrative team. This role is crucial for maintaining the accuracy and flow of our daily financial operations. The primary responsibility will be the meticulous processing of all transaction requests and preparing them for COO approval. Key Responsibilities
- Process Transaction Requests: Accurately review, verify, and process all incoming financial transaction requests (e.g., invoices, expense reports, payment requests, journal entries) in compliance with company policies.
- Approval Preparation: Prepare all processed transaction documents in an organized and complete manner for the Chief Operating Officer's (COO) timely review and final approval.
- Data Entry and Maintenance: Perform daily data entry into the accounting system (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, etc.) to ensure all financial records are current and accurate.
- File Management: Maintain comprehensive and systematic digital and physical filing of all financial documents, ensuring easy retrieval and audit readiness.
- Reconciliations: Assist with basic account and bank statement reconciliations as directed by the management.
- Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to the accounting and management team as needed.
Qualifications and Requirements
Essential Qualifications
- Education: A minimum of an Associate's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. (A Bachelor's degree is a plus.)
- Experience: Proven experience (1-2 years preferred) in an accounting or bookkeeping role, preferably within the hospitality or service industry.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or similar ERP system).
- Strong command of Microsoft Excel (e.g., creating formulas, pivot tables) and the full Microsoft Office suite.
- Core Competencies:
- Exceptional Attention to Detail: Absolute necessity for accurate transaction processing and data entry.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workload, and meet strict deadlines.
- Integrity: High level of professionalism and trustworthiness when handling confidential financial information.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with local tax regulations and compliance.
- Experience specifically with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: Php16, Php18,000.00 per month
