Job Purpose:

This person is responsible for all business partnering, accounting, management and statutory reporting requirements for entities in the Philippines.

Your Responsibilities:

• Responsible for full sets of accounts in compliance with Philippines Accounting Standards and US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
• Responsible for monthly and yearly closing activities, including but not limited to preparation of financial packages, applicable risk management reporting, reconciliation of accounts ---Monthly closing activities include preparation and or posting of journal entries, reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, intercompany confirmation, in compliance with Local Accounting System and US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
• Oversee the raising of invoices and ensure the accounts receivable process is managed efficiently. Support the process by preparing and posting journal entries when required.
• Oversee the accounts payable function, including Fx settlement process. Support the process by preparing payments and posting journal entries when required.
• Responsible for cash flow forecasting
• Critical in assessing the current internal and external controls of process and have the ability to identify continuous process improvements
• Drive functional excellence through standardization of processes, ensuring agility to keep up with business needs / changes.
• Ensure compliance and adherence to ADM policies and procedures
• Liaise with auditors and tax agents
• Ensure timely filing of statutory accounts and applicable local tax reporting (for e.g VAT, withholding tax)
• Assist with special projects such as system implementations, as needed
• Other ad-hoc activities, as required

Your Profile:

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS:

• Degree in Finance, Accounting or related professional qualifications
• Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Navision is a plus

EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum 8 years of accounting and/or finance related role
• Experience in agricultural industry is a plus
• Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Philippines Accounting Standards
• Familiarity with financial accounting statements
• Experience with general ledger functions, month-end / year-end close process
• Proficient in written and spoken English
• Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables
• Knowledge of Navision/Mark to Market is a plus
