Drake's top client – an HVAC manufacturer is hiring a
Controls Project Engineer - HVAC & BMS
to be part of their collaborative team in
Paranaque City.

Responsibilities


• Lead the end-to-end execution of HVAC controls projects — from design and programming to commissioning and project handover.


• Manage project timelines, risks, resources, and subcontractors to ensure successful delivery within scope, budget, and standards.


• Develop and review HVAC control system designs, sequences of operation, I/O schedules, and wiring diagrams.


• Prepare key technical documentation including Bills of Quantities (BoQ), shop drawings, as-built documents, and O&M manuals.


• Program and commission Building Management Systems (BMS) and Direct Digital Controls (DDC)


• Conduct system calibration, troubleshooting, and testing to ensure performance and reliability.


• Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and third-party contractors to ensure smooth project integration and execution.


• Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders, providing project updates, technical support, and post-handover training.


• Ensure full compliance with company safety policies, quality standards, and relevant regulatory requirements.


• Stay current with products and technologies, contributing to ongoing process improvements and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications


• Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, Control Systems, or a related field.


• At least 5 years of experience in HVAC controls, Building Management Systems (BMS), and project delivery.


• Strong understanding of control communication protocols such as BACnet and Modbus.


• Hands-on experience with major BMS platforms and field-level devices.


• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.


• Proven success in managing contracting and control system projects.


• Ability to handle complex technical challenges and coordinate across disciplines and vendors.


• Willingness to travel to project sites and engage in site-based work when needed.


• Comfortable working in construction environments and performing light physical tasks as required.
