Operations manager exercises ultimate authority above all restaurant employees in ALL branches; he oversees and manages all aspects of the branch's operations including front and back of the house. He can successfully gauge the flow, balance the restaurant's seating capacity, and control the capacity of orders to be prepared in the kitchen. He supervises and reports the implementation of daily operations set by the Sous Chef; possesses above average technical competency and quick thinking; and/or is a problem solver and a troubleshooter. The Operations Manager is the conduit between the management and the restaurant ensuring all guidelines and policies are satisfactorily met, including sales quotas and customer service metrics.

Operations Functions:

  • Understands and he/she is responsible for all aspects of daily operations, including training of staff, emergency decision making, and full interaction with customer.
  • Handles and resolves customer complaints.
  • Checks and ensures that the restaurant immediate premises are clean and orderly.
  • Checks and ensures all equipments and gadgets are working perfectly.
  • Checks the attendance, uniform, and grooming of staff.
  • Briefs everyone on the target's and expectation/s for the day.
  • Maintains the cleanliness and safety of the branch at all times.
  • Ensures basic standard operating procedures are in place and they are in compliance with local and company standard practices.
  • Moves throughout the dining and kitchen areas to visually monitor and take action to ensure food quality and service standards are met. verifies temperatures, judges appearance and taste of products and check preparation methods to determine quality. Give's guidance toward improvement and make necessary adjustments for consistency.
  • Ensure that the highest quality levels of products and hospitality are met.
  • Consistently refreshes training manual to FOH for better customer satisfaction.
