About the Team

The Consumer Engineering (CE) team builds all consumer-facing experiences and is expanding its capabilities to power the next generation of AI-driven healthcare solutions. By leveraging advanced AI/ML technologies, including LLMs, the team is designing platforms and frameworks that make healthcare simpler, more personalized, and accessible to millions of users.

As a Senior AI & Machine Learning Engineer, you will be a key contributor in designing and building the core AI/ML systems that drive these innovative experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain machine learning models and AI-powered systems (including LLM-based applications) for consumer platforms.
  • Participate in the full AI lifecycle: from brainstorming and prototyping to writing robust, production-ready code.
  • Contribute to the architecture and cloud infrastructure for AI solutions, using Infrastructure as Code principles.
  • Build reusable AI/ML platforms, frameworks, and components to accelerate innovation across the Consumer Engineering team.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers through design discussions, code reviews, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, design, engineering) to deliver scalable and impactful AI solutions.
  • Stay current with AI/ML advancements and propose practical applications in healthcare.
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues and deliver effective solutions in development and production environments.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 5+ years of professional software engineering, with a strong focus on building and deploying production-grade AI/ML systems.
  • Deep understanding of AI/ML concepts, models, and algorithms, with the ability to explain them clearly.
  • Strong software engineering fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, clean/testable code).
  • Hands-on experience with:
  • Backend services (Python, , Java, or Go)
  • Cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
  • CI/CD pipelines
  • API development (REST / WebSocket)
  • Databases (SQL / NoSQL)
  • Front-end frameworks
  • Experience in at least one ML domain such as NLP, Computer Vision, Recommendation Systems, or Anomaly Detection.
  • Hands-on experience building and deploying applications leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs) in production.
  • Experience building large-scale consumer-facing applications.
  • Background in healthcare or other regulated industries.
  • Contributions to open-source projects or building demo-worthy side projects/SaaS.
