Position Description

This position is responsible to receive, store, distribute materials, tools, equipment and products within the warehouse ensuring accuracy and timeliness

Specific Duties

  • Assist shipping and receiving unloading trucks, checking of merchandise and distributing to Materials Management Staff for processing;
  • Read customer orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered or distributed and/or shipped;
  • Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas;
  • Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to preset sequence such as size, type, style, and color or product code;
  • File requisitions, work orders or requests for materials, tools or other stock items and distribute items to shipping or to designated route driver storage area;
  • Ensure warehouse is accessible and safe for people and customer traffic;
  • Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves, or relocate orders to a holding area or shipping department;
  • Mark materials with identifying information using appropriate method and/or labels;
  • Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed thru appropriate computer program;
  • Assist in counting of physical inventory;
  • Count items for distribution to ensure conformance to company standards;
  • Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times;
  • Carry out tasks as assigned by the Materials Management Head;
  • Maintains integrity of stocks and storeroom;
  • Performs related duties which may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications

Educational Background (Minimum educational requirement and/or specific course requirement for the position)

  • high School, vocational or technical course graduate

Training/Experience (Training/seminars, short courses required to perform the job)

  • with relevant experience in warehousing for at least 2 years
  • adept with computer applications
  • familiar with inventory systems
  • with knowledge in warehousing
  • With driver's licence and with experienced in driving 4 wheels

Specific Skills and/or attitude

  • able to comprehend in verbal and written English
