JOB SUMMARY: Construction Manager is responsible in managing assigned projects which include but not limited to scheduling, planning, budget preparation and monitoring, quality control, risk management and other related construction management tasks to help meet the objectives and goals of the project.

FUNCTION AND KEY DUTIES:

  • Managing project budgets, including tracking project costs and identifying cost savings opportunities.
  • Coordinating with contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure that construction work is completed according to plan and meets quality, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Evaluate plans, design, and support the management of projects for water supply and septage projects.
  • Conducting site inspections to ensure that construction work is being completed in compliance with design specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Identifying and addressing issues that arise during the construction process, including changes in scope, scheduling, and budgets.
  • Coordinating with other departments, such as engineering, operations, and maintenance, to ensure that water supply projects are integrated with overall water supply operations.
  • May also be asked to perform other engineering tasks related to water supply and sanitation engineering.
  • Leads teams of contractors, vendors, and professionals, and to motivate them to achieve project goals, is critical for success as a Construction Manager.
  • Perform other works as maybe assigned.

QUALIFICATION(S):

  • Bachelor's degree holder in Civil Engineering, or any related field. Master's degree in a related field is preferred.
  • At least year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • Relevant experience in project management and construction, particularly in water supply or related fields, is preferred. Construction of water treatment and wastewater treatment is an advantage.
  • Knowledgeable of environmental and public health regulations governing the water sector.
  • Strong ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple contractors.
  • Capable of troubleshooting construction and technical issues efficiently.
  • Excellent interpersonal and reporting skills for coordination with all stakeholders.
  • Proficient in drawing tools such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Civil3D, etc. is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project, or other project management programs such as Primavera, is required
  • Proficiency in MS Office and basic computer usage is required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Works well under pressure and in a team environment.
