Accounting Manager

Job Summary:
The Accounting Manager oversee all aspects of financial management, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, external accounting, auditing, and overall financial health of the organization. This role requires strong leadership abilities, impeccable attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including processing invoices, issuing payments, and reconciling accounts.
Monitor cash flow, prepare cash forecasts, and manage banking relationships to optimize liquidity.
Coordinate and oversee external accounting services, including tax preparation, financial statement audits, and regulatory compliance.
Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
Prepare financial reports, budgets, and forecasts for management review and decision-making.
Collaborate with other departments to analyze financial data, identify opportunities for cost savings, and improve overall financial performance.
Supervise accounting staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to ensure high-quality work and professional development.
Stay abreast of changes in accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory requirements, ensuring compliance and recommending adjustments as necessary.
Support special projects and initiatives as assigned by senior management, providing financial expertise and strategic guidance.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA designation preferred.
Proven experience (5+ years) in accounting or finance roles, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and internal controls.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Netsuite) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and make strategic recommendations.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and interact with internal and external stakeholders.
Demonstrated leadership abilities, including the ability to motivate and develop a team of accounting professionals.
Proven track record of managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism when handling sensitive financial information.
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and willingness to take on new challenges as needed.
