BRIEF DESCRIPTION

The Procurement Manager is responsible in developing a strategic approach in the procurement of indirect goods and services. This involves leading a team of procurement specialists and overseeing sourcing and negotiation activities with suppliers to secure the most cost-effective deals. Responsible for managing supplier contracts, implementing procurement policies and standards, and establishing robust processes and governance to align with business objectives and operational needs.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee the end-to-end sourcing and procurement process, including supplier onboarding, risk mitigation, contract management, and purchasing of goods and services such as office supplies, vehicles (including delivery trucks), and warehouse equipment.
  • Lead strategic procurement projects for medium to high-risk categories, particularly in fleet and services.
  • Handle procurement and disposal activities related to fleet and equipment.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, internal customers, and business partners to manage relationships effectively.
  • Establish and manage supply relationships for vehicle acquisition and service suppliers/outsourced solution providers.
  • Review and negotiate existing contracts with suppliers to ensure ongoing feasibility and optimization of commercial terms.
  • Engage stakeholders effectively, demonstrating superior relationship management and influencing skills.
  • Provide support to the team in addressing challenges and identifying areas of opportunity.
  • Contribute to new business initiatives and projects by assessing and communicating their impact on procurement activities.
  • Respond to audit requirements and implement audit recommendations to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, finance, operations, engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of 3-5 years in managing supply chain operations, sourcing/category management, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Preferably with experience in Shared Services, Financial Services, or multinational environments.
  • Proficiency in drafting and reviewing contracts, managing invoicing, and negotiating terms.
  • In-depth knowledge of sourcing and procurement principles and best practices
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation abilities, adept at fostering close working relationships and collaborating effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
