Solid Construction (Cebu), Inc. (Solicon) has emerged as one of the most respected general contracting firms in Cebu. Solicon is a certified Filipino capitalized corporation established and registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission since November 1972. Since then, the company has pioneered several projects including residential, commercial, and industrial buildings around the Philippines, and currently focusing on Visayas and Mindanao.

We are actively looking for a proactive Safety Officer with to add to our growing team in Leganes, Iloilo.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular inspections of construction sites to identify potential hazards and risks.
  • Ensure that the implemented safety guidelines are enforced.
  • Develop and implement safety policies and procedures in compliance with the law
  • Provide safety training to workers and contractors, including orientation.
  • Investigate accidents and injuries on construction sites and make recommendations to prevent future incidents.
  • Maintain records of safety inspections, incidents, and training programs.
  • Work with project managers to identify and manage potential safety issues during the planning and design phases of construction projects.
  • Conduct regular safety meetings with workers and contractors to discuss safety concerns and promote a culture of safety.
  • Provide guidance and advice to workers and contractors on the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and other safety equipment.
  • Ensure that all equipment on site is properly maintained and in good working condition.

Qualifications:

  • Must have COSH and preferably with with LCM and HIRAC
  • Must be cooperative and willing to work with a team
  • Preferably at least 3 years on site experience.
  • Has experience in construction and high rise buildings
  • Experienced in conducting assessments, confident in delivering OSH Presentations and knowledgeable in DOLE standards

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM; Saturdays: 8:00 AM-12:00 PM.

Work Set-up: Onsite (Leganes, Iloilo)
