The Warehouse Officer is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient inventory management, maintaining proper documentation, and coordinating the timely receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods. This role requires strict adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) to optimize warehouse efficiency and support business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Warehouse Operations & Inventory Management: Supervise and coordinate warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, and dispatching goods. Monitor inventory levels and conduct regular stock checks to ensure accuracy. Maintain proper labeling and categorization of inventory for easy identification and retrieval. Ensure warehouse cleanliness and organization to comply with safety and operational standards.

2. Procurement & Logistics Coordination: Work closely with the procurement and logistics teams to track incoming and outgoing shipments. Verify and inspect incoming goods to ensure they meet quality standards and match purchase orders. Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and transport providers for timely deliveries.

3. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions, including receipts, transfers, and dispatches. Prepare and submit reports on stock levels, damages, and discrepancies. Ensure compliance with company policies regarding warehouse documentation and inventory tracking.

4. Compliance & Safety: Ensure all warehouse activities adhere to company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards. Implement security measures to prevent inventory loss, theft, or damage. Conduct periodic safety inspections and train warehouse staff on proper handling procedures.

5. Team Supervision & Coordination: Supervise and provide guidance to warehouse staff to improve efficiency and performance. Assign tasks and monitor workflow to meet operational deadlines. Foster a team-oriented environment by promoting effective communication and collaboration.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
  • At least [2] years of experience in warehouse management, inventory control, or logistics. Strong understanding of warehouse procedures, inventory systems, and procurement processes.
  • Proficiency in warehouse management software (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems i.e SAP or Oracle
