Investment Operations Director

Position Overview

The Investment Operations director will support the day-to-day processing and transformation of our function. The Investments business is on a multi-year journey to drive digitization, automation, and improve straight-through processing while leveraging our global hub for end-to-end functions.

Our client is looking for a leader with strong operational processing experience, a focus on efficiency and risk mitigation, and the ability to drive change through relationships and thought leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day business relationships and oversee global cross-functional services
  • Escalate and resolve operational service issues quickly
  • Ensure work is integrated across teams and meets service level and quality standards
  • Develop and execute overall procedures and policies across teams
  • Enhance service capabilities by leveraging investment product expertise and operational excellence practices
  • Support key transformation strategies and conduct strategic reviews of existing processes
  • Establish credibility and build professional relationships with business partners and customers
  • Act as a business partner for service recipients
  • Create feedback channels to align expectations and priorities with the business
  • Refresh and manage service level standards and KPIs aligned with business requirements
  • Monitor KPI and KRI reporting, dashboards, and metrics
  • Manage and mitigate operational risk; escalate and resolve issues effectively
  • Ensure timely closure of audit findings
  • Lead, manage, and develop direct reports and subordinate teams
  • Handle hiring, compensation strategy, promotion, and performance management
  • Mentor and coach team members on capability development and succession planning
  • Drive best practices, collaboration, and innovation across teams

Qualifications:

  • College Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics etc.
  • At least 5 years senior leadership experience
  • Senior Leadership Experience in Banks or other Finance Shared Services
  • At least 8 years' experience of investments fund accounting
  • Experience handling big teams (e.g. 80 FTEs)
  • Agile – Change Management, Transformation (AI), Leading Transformation and System Integration
