Job Summary:

We are looking for a reliable and responsible Logistics Driver to join our team. The role involves transporting goods safely and efficiently from warehouses to stores, customers, or other designated locations. The driver is also expected to assist with loading and unloading, ensure proper documentation, and maintain the vehicle in good condition.

The ideal candidate must have a valid driver's license, a good driving record, and experience in logistics or delivery operations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Delivery Operations

  • Safely transport goods and materials to assigned destinations according to delivery schedules.
  • Ensure all deliveries are completed on time and in good condition.
  • Follow delivery routes and time schedules accurately.

2. Vehicle Maintenance

  • Conduct daily vehicle inspections before and after trips.
  • Ensure the assigned vehicle is clean, well-maintained, and in good working condition.
  • Report any vehicle issues, damages, or maintenance needs promptly.

3. Loading & Unloading

  • Assist in the loading and unloading of products from the vehicle.
  • Ensure proper handling of items to avoid damage during transit.
  • Verify the accuracy of delivery items against delivery documents or manifests.

4. Documentation & Reporting

  • Collect and submit signed delivery receipts, invoices, and other required documents.
  • Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel usage, and trip logs.
  • Report any delivery issues, delays, or customer feedback to the supervisor.

5. Compliance & Safety

  • Follow all road and traffic laws, company safety policies, and delivery procedures.
  • Ensure cargo is properly secured to prevent shifting or damage.
  • Practice defensive and safe driving techniques at all times.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience:

  • At least 1–2 years of experience in driving or delivery operations is an advantage.
  • Experience in logistics, warehouse, or transportation is a plus.

Licenses & Certifications:

  • Must have a valid professional driver's license (e.g., Restriction Code 1, 2, or equivalent, depending on vehicle type).
  • Clean driving record required.

Skills:

  • Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with local routes and traffic regulations.
  • Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
  • Good time management and organizational skills.

Working Conditions:

  • May require long hours of driving, including weekends and holidays.
  • Must be physically fit and able to lift or move heavy items (as needed).
  • Exposure to varying weather conditions during deliveries.
