Purpose:

The Insurance Assessor Support role is responsible for providing administrative and operational support to insurance assessors in evaluating and processing claims. This position ensures efficient documentation, communication, and compliance coordination, helping streamline the claims assessment process and enhance customer satisfaction.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Full support to the Assessor & Auction Support Team Lead.
  • Process StarAssess OCR quote recognition.
  • Manage Assessor inbox, triaging incoming mail.
  • Upload quotes and images received into StarAssess.
  • Carry out assessor dairies, updating internal portals and key staff.
  • Manually loading TP and TPA assessments and documents to StarAssess
  • Outbound calls to repairers, suppliers and key stakeholders on claim updates and progression.

General Responsibilities:

  • Diligently serve the employer, promoting and protecting the company's interests
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures
  • Devote full effort to assigned duties
  • Provide services for related companies if requested. Maintain high customer satisfaction levels
  • Participate in training as required
  • Perform job responsibilities as outlined for a Claims Consultant. Carry out additional duties as directed, ensuring they can be performed safely and effectively
  • Execute tasks as agreed between the employer and employee

Technical Performance:

  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of all activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements is met.
  • Suggest and implement improvements in task processes to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, company policies, and industry standards.

Customer Experience:

  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service.
  • Monitor and enhance customer service standards within the Assessing department.

Education & Experience:

  • Proven experience in customer service and people engagement
  • Previous experience in an administrative or customer support role (preferably in insurance or claims processing).
  • Familiarity with insurance policies, claims processing, or loss assessment is an advantage. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and claims management systems.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and efficiency
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure
  • Commitment to ethical standards and regulatory compliance
  • Team-oriented with a drive for excellence and results
