The Senior Store Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily store operations, ensuring efficient inventory management, supervising staff, and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. This role involves monitoring stock levels, coordinating with suppliers, ensuring compliance with company policies, and supporting the Store Manager in achieving sales and operational targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Store Operations & Management
  • Oversee daily store activities and ensure smooth operations.
  • Supervise stock receiving, storage, replenishment, and dispatch processes.
  • Maintain accurate stock levels and minimize shrinkage through effective control measures.
  • Ensure all company policies, SOPs, and safety standards are followed.
  • Inventory & Stock Control
  • Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Coordinate with the procurement team for timely replenishment.
  • Monitor product expiry dates and ensure FIFO (First-In-First-Out) practices.
  • Team Leadership & Supervision
  • Lead, train, and motivate store staff to achieve performance goals.
  • Prepare staff schedules and delegate tasks effectively.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback.
  • Customer Service Excellence
  • Ensure a high standard of customer service at all times.
  • Handle escalated customer complaints and resolve issues promptly.
  • Maintain store cleanliness, display standards, and visual merchandising.
  • Reporting & Analysis
  • Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly sales and inventory reports.
  • Analyze store performance and recommend improvements to enhance profitability.
  • Track KPIs and assist management in achieving business targets.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Retail Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 4–6 years of experience in store or warehouse supervision, preferably in retail, FMCG, or distribution.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control, warehouse operations, and retail management systems.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems, and inventory management tools.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities.
