Island Pacific Global Inc., a subsidiary of Island Pacific Supermarket, is seeking a dynamic and strategic Accounting Manager to oversee daily accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting and analysis for our retail supermarket and meat production divisions.

This role requires a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with extensive experience in these industries. The ideal candidate will be responsible for financial planning, budgeting, compliance, and process optimization, playing a key role in driving efficiency and supporting the company's growth.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Manage the general ledger, including reviewing journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
- Ensure precise accounting of inventory, cost of goods sold (COGS), and production costs for both the retail supermarket and meat production sectors.
- Monitor and analyze production costs, margin analysis, and inventory valuation, implementing cost control measures as needed.
- Collaborate with production and operations teams to ensure timely financial reporting related to production activities.
- Oversee the accounts payable (AP) process, ensuring timely and accurate payment of invoices.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, including US GAAP, tax laws, and internal controls.
- Coordinate with external auditors during the audit process, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Lead and mentor the accounting team, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages professional development.
- Provide insights into financial performance, identifying opportunities for cost savings, efficiency improvements, and revenue growth.
- Support business decisions through detailed financial analysis, including break-even analysis, profitability assessments, and return on investment (ROI) evaluations.
- Spearhead process improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities for automation and workflow optimization.
Qualifications:
Educational Background:
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy with PRC License (CPA).
Work Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, including at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Proven experience in the retail supermarket and meat production industries, with a focus on cost accounting, inventory management, and production accounting.
Skills:
- Expertise in ERP ledger systems, preferably Acumatica.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities, with a history of developing high-performing teams.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Php70, Php110,000.00 per month
