The Senior Principal Consultant position is responsible for the delivery of implementation services for NetSuite customers in a post-sales environment. Working with the rest of the Professional Services department, this position will quickly assess customer needs, develop innovative plans to solve their problems and implement these plans to the customer's satisfaction. The Senior Principal Consultant is expected to assist in any sales engagement that may arise with existing customers and in some instances, work directly with the Sales and Account Management team to close those opportunities. The successful Senior Principal Consultant must have a passion for helping customers find creative ways to more effectively run their businesses. Finding new ways to constantly improve the satisfaction and loyalty of our customers is a top priority. Working with aggressive timelines and a full customer portfolio is required.
Responsibilitiesmplement Oracle products and technology to meet customer needs. Applies Oracle methodology, company procedures, and leading practices. Demonstrates expertise to deliver functional and technical solutions on moderately complex customer engagements. May lead the solution design and implementation aspects of engagement(s) ensuring high quality, integrated software solutions within constraints of time and budget. May act as the team lead on projects, providing coaching, guidance and feedback to develop skills of team members. Effectively consults with management of customer organizations. Participates in business development activities. Develops and leads detailed solutions for moderately complex projects.
Key
Responsibilities
Provide implementation services to new and existing customers
- Document and validate customer's business requirements and map to NetSuite functionality
- Configure/customize NetSuite application to meet customer's business requirements
- Conduct consulting sessions (on-the-phone and in-person) and document with meeting minute summaries
- Attend internal project meetings and provide status on progress of activities and deliverables
Provide Sales / Account Management support
- Support the sales cycle through solution review and feedback, and assistance with scoping and estimation
Contribute to internal PS initiatives
- Document solutions and contribute to solutions repository
- Document Best Practices and share with PS practice
- Participate in SME program in area(s) of interest and expertise
Focus on Continuing Education
- Contribute to internal PS knowledge share; Review posted feedback on a continuous basis
- Participate in Continuing Education sessions
- Be fully versed on functionality released with each new product upgrade.

- Consulting experience with QuickBooks Great Plains/Microsoft Dynamics, , Upshot, ACT, Goldmine, MAS 90, Siebel, Oracle, SAP, PeopleSoft, JD Edwards, NetSuite
- Pre-sales consulting experience
Education
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Accounting or Management Information Systems
- Master's degree or post graduate coursework preferred
Professional Experience
- 8+ years' experience in systems applications consulting with a consulting firm or software provider
- 3+ years in Consultant role with NetSuite Professional Services
Promotion Criteria
- Demonstrates advanced knowledge in at least 2 major areas of NetSuite functionality – i.e. ERP, CRM, Ecommerce, OpenAir
- Regularly exceeds personal utilization targets on a quarterly basis
- Exceeds Customer Reference Targets and Customer Satisfaction Survey Score Targets
- Contributes to internal PS Knowledge Share
- Active participant in NetSuite Mentoring Program
- Supports the Sales process as a PS Subject Matter Expert, with minimal guidance from Management
