Fleet Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled Fleet Supervisor to oversee our company's fleet of vehicles and drivers. The ideal candidate must have the technical knowledge, hands-on experience, and management capabilities to ensure proper maintenance, operation, and overall efficiency of the fleet while providing exceptional leadership to the team of drivers.
Job Description:
1. Fleet Management:
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of more than 10 vehicles, ensuring they are in optimal condition and meet all safety standards.
- Monitor vehicle schedules and utilization to maximize efficiency and productivity.
- Conduct regular audits of vehicle conditions, ensuring maintenance schedules are strictly followed.
2. Daily Vehicle Checking:
- Perform or supervise daily inspections of all vehicles to ensure roadworthiness, including checking fluid levels, tire condition, brake performance, and general cleanliness.
- Address minor issues identified during daily checks or escalate major concerns for immediate attention.
- Maintain daily vehicle checklists and ensure compliance with operational standards.
3. Driver Supervision:
- Supervise and manage drivers, ensuring adherence to schedules, safety policies, and company protocols.
- Address driver concerns, monitor performance, and provide necessary training or guidance.
4. Vehicle Maintenance:
- Assess vehicle issues and determine whether repairs or replacements are needed.
- Conduct inspections to identify and address mechanical problems, ensuring vehicles meet operational standards.
- Verify and double-check third-party assessments during repairs to avoid unnecessary costs or repairs.
5. Parts and Market Knowledge:
- Research and identify market-competitive prices for vehicle parts and services.
- Build a network of trusted suppliers and repair shops for vehicle parts and maintenance services.
- Ensure cost efficiency in purchasing parts and services without compromising quality.
6. Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle inspections, daily checks, maintenance, and repairs.
- Submit regular reports on fleet performance, cost analysis, and operational challenges.
7. Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with government regulations, such as vehicle registration, insurance, and emission testing.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Automotive Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- At least 3 years of experience in fleet management, vehicle maintenance, or a related field.
- Strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience in vehicle diagnostics and repairs.
- Ability to assess and negotiate market prices for vehicle parts and services.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills to effectively manage drivers and collaborate with other departments.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications for documentation and reporting purposes.
Preferred qualifications:
- Professional certifications in automotive repair or fleet management.
- Experience supervising teams in a corporate environment
- Experience working with third-party repair shops and suppliers.
- Strong network within the automotive repair and parts industry.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Php30, Php35,000.00 per month
