Job Title:
Data Warehouse Developer

Non-Negotiable Skills:

  • 2–4 years of hands-on experience in writing complex SQL queries
  • 2–4 years of experience in Teradata Data Warehouse development or equivalent data warehouse technologies
  • Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written in English
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Technical Skills & Tools:

  • Experience with ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, DataStage, or equivalent)
  • Proficiency in data modeling concepts (star/snowflake schemas, normalization/denormalization)
  • Experience with performance tuning of SQL and ETL processes
  • Familiarity with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery, or Azure Synapse
  • Working knowledge of Python or other scripting languages for data processing/automation
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and optimize ETL pipelines from source systems to the data warehouse
  • Develop aggregation and transformation logic for conformed dimensions and fact tables
  • Prepare the presentation layer for business consumption via BI tools and dashboards
  • Provide ad-hoc data solutions to business users based on warehouse data
  • Deliver technical support to both business and application teams
  • Analyze, review, and refactor code for efficiency, scalability, and maintainability
  • Deploy, test, and support code changes in production and non-production environments
  • Collaborate with external vendors and internal stakeholders to troubleshoot and resolve issues
  • Participate in cross-functional projects, possibly assuming roles such as Designer, Developer, Tester, or Architect

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Experience in both support and development environments
  • Hands-on experience in data warehousing environments

  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams

  • Nice-to-Have:

  • Certification in Teradata, Snowflake, AWS, or Azure
  • Experience with BI tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker
  • Understanding of data governance, data quality, and security standards
