Sales Assistant provides customers with product assistance and service, handles transactions, maintains store organization and stock levels, and contributes to meeting sales goals. Key duties include greeting customers, answering inquiries, operating the cash register, restocking shelves, and ensuring a clean and appealing sales environment. Essential skills for this role are strong customer service, communication, product knowledge, and the ability to maintain a friendly and engaging demeanor.

Responsibilities

  • Customer Service:Greet customers, answer product questions, and assist them in finding specific items.
  • Sales & Transactions:Process payments and refunds efficiently, operate the cash register, and encourage customers to purchase products.
  • Inventory Management:Monitor stock levels, receive and unpack deliveries, and ensure shelves are neatly stocked with merchandise.
  • Store Maintenance:Keep the sales floor and store environment clean and tidy, including tasks like cleaning and arranging displays.
  • Promotions & Information:Stay informed about store promotions and introduce them to customers.
