: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of GST returns using Xero or alternative accounting software
  • Preparation of financial statements with corresponding workpapers and Supporting documents
  • Preparation of Income tax returns
  • Review of tax assessments and attendance to all matters arising thereon
  • Preparation of dividends and associated documentation
  • Preparation of budgets and cashflows
  • Issuance and checking of tax payment advice notices to clients
  • Preparation of Fringe Benefit Tax returns
  • Maintain client details accurately in the Firm's systems
  • Prepare and post accurate timesheets on a daily basis
  • Stay up to date with technical accounting and taxation matters
  • Respond to client queries in a professional manner
  • Adhere to our high courtesy standards with clients, colleagues and external contacts
  • Maintain high ethical standards in all your work
  • Respect and maintain client and Firm confidentiality
  • Undertake any other duties as reasonably requested

Qualifications

  • Experience with Preparing Annual Reports & GST
  • Experience with Xero Accounting software, (Bonus: Figured & FYI )
  • Understanding of NZ Tax law
  • Understanding of corporate structures in NZ
  • Excellent communication, time management and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage workflow of multiple clients and deadlines
