The Assistant Warehouse Manager supports the Warehouse Manager in overseeing daily operations, supervising staff, and ensuring operational excellence. This role requires hands-on involvement in warehouse processes and strong Excel skills for generating and analyzing performance reports.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Oversight

  • Manage daily warehouse activities: receiving, put-away, picking, packing, shipping, and returns.
  • Maintain operational flow and allocate resources efficiently during peak and non-peak times.
  • Ensure orders are fulfilled accurately and shipped on time according to service-level agreements.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Supervise, train, and motivate warehouse staff to meet productivity and quality targets.
  • Handle staff scheduling, attendance, and performance management.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.

Reporting & Analysis

  • Use advanced Excel functions (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas, charts) to prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
  • Analyze KPIs to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Present actionable insights to management based on data analysis.

Inventory Control

  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate cycle counts to maintain accuracy.
  • Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies quickly and effectively.

Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.

Qualifications & Skills

  • 3+ years of warehouse or fulfillment experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse processes, inventory control, and order fulfillment.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency for reporting and data analysis.
  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or ERP platforms.
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle physical tasks when required.
