Home-based Quantity Surveyor / Estimator role for a Tier 1 Commercial Roofing & Cladding contractor in Australia.

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor / Estimator who has previously worked for a similar Roofing & Cladding or Facade contractor in Australia for a home-based role in the Philippines.

Our client is a well established Tier 1 Roofing & Cladding contractor who work with some of Australia's biggest and best builders on a range of large-scale commercial projects.

We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor / Estimator with previous Australian Roofing & Cladding experience to join our team and work from home in the Philippines. You will play a key role in helping with upcoming tenders. You would report directly to the Estimating Manager based in Australia, and would play a key role as an extension of their already large team.

Our Client

Our client is a well established multi award-winning business established over 10 years ago and who are now part of a much larger national construction company. For their business they have over 60 employees but there larger group has well over 1,200 people based across Australia. They are a Tier One contractor who work on large scale commercial projects.

The Opportunity:

The Key objectives of the Home-Based Quantity Surveyor / Estimator is to be responsible for material takeoffs, Mark Up's, and contacting suppliers and clients for RFI's and RFQ's. This is a long-term position that will offer the right employee growth, development, and an excellent earning potential.

Accountabilities will include:


• Create an accurate and detailed Bill of Quantity


• Mark Up drawings


• Ensuring that all tenders are accurate and clearly defined.


• Pick up and understand what is missing from design documentation


• Put together solutions and advise the team best course of action

About you:

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and experience:

MUST HAVES

  • Previous Australian Roofing & Cladding or facade experience
  • Minimum of 2+ years QS / Estimating Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, quantity surveying or a related field
  • Must have Strong written and spoken English
  • Strong understanding and experience in reading plans and architectural drawings
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ideally Cost-x experience
