Context

The Senior Architect will assist the Principal Architect in managing the Design Team.

Missions/Main Duties

• Assists the Principal Architect in managing the Design Team.
• Prepares work schedule to meet Project Timeline.
• Works closely with other teams such as but not limited to Business Development, Transport Planning and Quantity Surveying, MEPFS and the likes to meet project goals.
• Performs the duties of a designer following the UAP regulations for Design, Construction, & Project Management.
• Checks for the completeness and correct interpretation of the Station Sizing and other Design parameters as required by the project
• Consult with Principal Architect for any major design issues and provide adequate resolution to address any concerns.
• Ensures that project is delivered based on required quality, time and budget as per TOR.
• Ensures design is within the Approved Design Parameters, Terms of Reference (TOR) of the Project and relevant Codes.
• Supervises and collaborates closely with Team Lead in leading a team of junior architects/ revit modelers to deliver the project to the highest safety and quality standards, optimize cost and use of sustainable materials.
• List down and highlight with Principal Architect any design issues, especially if it has impact on the overall date of completion. Provide adequate justifications in case of slippage in deliverables.
• Attend meetings, workshops and other career-development Trainings relevant to the latest trends in the Infrastructure and Design Industries
• Conduct the Level 3- Internal Review Sheet (IRS) as part of the Design Review Process prior to release of Drawings to client
• Provide sound advice and solutions to design conflicts that may arise during the course of the project.
• Conduct site visit and ocular inspection of the project, as necessary.
• Review and provide inputs to Team Lead for the preparation of the Architectural Specifications (TS-500) and supporting Materials Board, as necessary
• Keep up to date with latest design innovation and materials worldwide.
• Assures project confidentiality. Reports to management if drawings are shared unofficially with other entities.

Deliverables

• Provide immediate insight into the project's progress status such as Gant Chart reporting of deliverables for easy tracking and reporting any upcoming risks to ensure timely delivery of deliverables.
• Drawings in CAD and Revit output, with full support from Team Lead and Jr Architects
• Production Drawing List and productivity man-hours on a daily and weekly basis, depending on timeline set forth for each Projects assigned to him/her.
• Meeting Notes from any meeting or workshops attended. This should be endorsed to Doc control for proper tagging and recording.
• Weekly coordination and reporting of project status to the Principal Architect, or Management as necessary.

Profile/Skills

• Architectural or any Creative Design with Project Management background
• Good and effective communication skills in both oral and written,
• in person and on-line meetings
• Effective presentation skills with client
