Senior IT Business Analyst

1. Senior Business Analyst (BA) to support the ALMS application . The Senior BA will play a key role in reviewing business processes, eliciting functional requirements, and conducting quality assurance tasks in the context of the implementation of NSO FES.

About the Role:
The Senior BA will work with the end users on the .

Specifically, the business analyst will:

1. conduct requirements elicitation workshop and present findings to stakeholders.

2. define business processes in consultation with business users.

3. design and present potential solution to stakeholders.

4. develop necessary requirements document for the project and provide KT to the team

5. prepare test cases, test scenarios and test scripts.

6. coordinate with testing team and assist users with User Acceptance Testing.

7. monitor and manage bug fixes/issues and their resolution.

8. engage with vendor(s) for requirements elaboration, solution design and review, quality assurance and issue resolution.

9. define source to target mapping

10. define data transformation logic based on the business rules

11. The Senior BA will work with its counterparts, from business, vendor, and technical side of new systems, including integration when needed, within the ecosystem.

Job Purpose:

The Business Analyst is responsible for bridging the gap between the technical and product teams by translating business requirements into technical and functional specifications. The role supports the development of new products and enhancements to existing products, ensuring that product solutions are aligned with business needs and technical feasibility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Requirement Gathering & Documentation:

o Collaborate with Product Owners, Product Managers, and stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements.

o Develop comprehensive technical and functional specifications that align with product goals and customer needs.

o Maintain and update product documentation, including workflows, data models, and use cases.

• Technical Liaison:

o Act as a conduit between product development and engineering teams to ensure alignment on technical specifications.

o Assist in the evaluation of technical feasibility of proposed solutions and ensure they meet business and product requirements.

o Communicate complex technical concepts in a clear and understandable manner for non-technical stakeholders.

• Product Development Support:

o Work closely with the Product Development team to ensure product specifications are adhered to throughout the development lifecycle.

o Assist in testing and validation of products to ensure they meet specifications and requirements.

o Participate in product backlog grooming sessions to refine and prioritize requirements.

• Data Analysis & Insights:

o Analyze product performance and user feedback to identify areas for improvement and optimization.

o Provide insights on customer behavior, market trends, and product performance to inform future product development decisions.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration:

o Collaborate with design, engineering, operations, and marketing teams to ensure cohesive product development.

o Support project managers in tracking and delivering on project timelines related to product specifications.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.

• 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in a product development or technical environment.

• Strong understanding of software development lifecycles (SDLC), Agile methodologies, and product management.

• Proficiency in creating technical documents, including use cases, user stories, and process flows.

• Familiarity with database systems, APIs, and technical integration processes.

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.

• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.

• Experience with product management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence) is a plus.
