Job Description

As a BI Developer, you will design and optimize data models, develop ETL processes, and create dynamic dashboards using Power BI. Your work will transform complex datasets into actionable insights, empowering business stakeholders to make informed decisions with speed and clarity.

Shift: Monday to Friday, 08:00 AM - 05:00PM EST

The Qualifications We Seek

Experience

• Proven experience in a BI Developer role with expertise in data warehousing, ETL processes, database management, and report/dashboard development using BI tools
• Minimum of 3 years' relevant experience or a combination of education and work experience (telecommunications industry experience is a plus)

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server)
• Strong expertise in Power BI
• Familiarity with ETL tools and data integration techniques
• Solid understanding of data modeling concepts and methodologies
• Ability to create compelling reports and dashboards following data visualization best practices
• Experience with programming languages such as Python or Java (preferred)
• Relevant certifications in business intelligence and data analytics (preferred)

• Ability to translate complex business requirements into actionable reports or dashboards

Your Daily Tasks

Data Analysis and Modeling

• Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights
• Translate business requirements into scalable data models and reporting structures

Database Development

• Design, develop, and optimize data warehouses, data marts, and ETL processes
• Integrate data seamlessly from multiple sources

Report and Dashboard Development

• Create interactive reports, dashboards, and visualizations using Power BI
• Facilitate data-driven decision-making through clear visual insights

Data Extraction and Transformation

• Extract, transform, and load data from diverse sources
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and integrity

Performance Optimization

• Monitor and enhance performance of databases, data models, and queries
• Optimize data retrieval and processing efficiency

Collaborative Approach

• Work closely with stakeholders, analysts, and IT teams to gather requirements
• Deliver BI solutions that meet business objectives

Data Governance and Security

• Implement data governance policies and procedures
• Enforce security protocols to maintain confidentiality, accuracy, and compliance

Documentation and Training

• Create technical documentation and user guides
• Conduct training sessions for end-users to maximize BI solution adoption

Cross-functional Contribution

• Support various projects with minimal supervision
• Assist other departments and team members as needed
