Universal Robina Corporation Sugar and Renewables BALAYAN is looking for a Maintenance Supervisor.
Position Overview:
The Maintenance Supervisor plays a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and management of the Plant's vehicle fleet. By supervising daily activities, coordinating repairs, and maintaining compliance with safety standards, the Motorpool Supervisor ensures the fleet's reliability and supports operational needs.
What are Roles and Responsibilities:
Fleet Operations Management:
Oversee daily Motorpool operations, including vehicle usage, scheduling, and prioritization of repairs and maintenance.
- Ensure the fleet meets operational requirements and safety standards.
Maintenance and Repairs:
Conduct regular vehicle inspections to identify maintenance needs and schedule preventive and corrective actions.
- Supervise the quality of repairs and maintenance performed by technicians.
- Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures and manufacturer guidelines.
- Strong background in preventive and predictive maintenance.
Inventory and Procurement:
Manage inventory levels for spare parts and supplies, ensuring timely procurement and replenishment.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and coordinate with Procurement Team for cost-effective sourcing.
Safety and Compliance:
Ensure all vehicles and operations comply with safety regulations and company policies.
- Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective measures to mitigate risks.
- Facilitate safety training for Motorpool staff.
Team Leadership and Development:
Supervise and mentor a team of automotive technicians and support staff.
- Provide training and professional development opportunities to enhance staff skills and efficiency.
- Foster a collaborative and safety-conscious work environment.
Reporting and Documentation:
Maintain detailed records of maintenance schedules, repair activities, and vehicle performance metrics.
- Prepare reports on operational efficiency, inventory levels, and budget utilization.
Continuous Improvement Initiatives:
Identify opportunities to improve fleet reliability, reduce downtime, and optimize costs.
- Stay informed on industry best practices and emerging technologies in fleet management and automotive maintenance.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in automotive maintenance and repair, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing fleet operations and maintenance.
Technical Proficiency:
Comprehensive knowledge of automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment for troubleshooting.
Leadership Skills:
Strong leadership and team-building abilities to effectively supervise and motivate staff.
- Experience in coaching and developing team members to enhance performance.
Safety and Compliance:
Thorough knowledge of safety regulations and best practices for fleet maintenance and operations.
- Ability to conduct safety inspections and implement corrective actions.
Organizational Skills:
Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
- Competency in maintaining accurate records and generating detailed reports.
Communication Skills:
Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external vendors.
- Proficiency in preparing technical reports and documentation.
Problem-Solving and Decision-Making:
Analytical skills to diagnose complex vehicle issues and implement effective solutions.
- Ability to make informed decisions under time-sensitive conditions.
