Planning Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop, implement, and maintain detailed project schedules using tools such as

Primavera P6 / MS Project.

  1. Prepare and update baseline schedules, work breakdown structures (WBS), and resource

allocation plans.

  1. Monitor project progress, track milestones, and ensure adherence to timelines.

  2. Analyze schedule delays, identify critical paths, and provide mitigation strategies.

  3. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, procurement, and subcontractors to collect

progress data and resolve planning issues.

  1. Prepare progress reports, dashboards, and presentations for management and clients.

  2. Assist in project cost control by linking schedule activities with budget forecasts.

  3. Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and contractual

obligations.

  1. Participate in project meetings and provide expert input on scheduling and planning

matters.

  1. Support risk management activities by forecasting potential delays and proposing

recovery plans.

  1. Provide Time Impact Analysis for any delay and variation to cost and time.

Qualifications & Skills:


• Bachelor's degree in civil / mechanical / electrical engineering or related discipline.


• Proven experience as a Planning Engineer in construction, infrastructure, or related

industries.


• Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, and MS Office Suite.


• Strong knowledge of project management principles and techniques.


• Analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for coordinating with multi-disciplinary

teams.


• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.

Preferred:


• Professional certifications such as PMP, PSP (Planning & Scheduling Professional), or

equivalent.


• Experience in Design Build / EPC projects or large-scale infrastructure developments.


• Knowledge of cost control and earned value management (EVM).
