Civil Engineer

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Design and Technical Support

o Provide technical engineering support and contribute to the design of residential, commercial, and mixed-use development projects.

o Collaborate with architects and project managers to develop and review construction plans, ensuring feasibility, safety, and regulatory compliance.

o Assist in selecting and specifying building materials, systems, and technologies to ensure functionality, sustainability, and cost-efficiency.

1. Site Assessments and Analysis

o Conduct site assessments to evaluate soil conditions, structural integrity, drainage, and other key factors affecting the design and construction process.

o Prepare engineering reports on site suitability and provide recommendations for improvements or modifications.

o Coordinate with surveyors and environmental consultants to gather necessary data for site planning and development.

1. Construction Planning and Coordination

o Develop detailed engineering plans, schedules, and cost estimates for construction projects.

o Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure that engineering specifications are met during construction.

o Oversee and monitor construction activities to ensure quality standards, timelines, and budget constraints are adhered to.

1. Regulatory Compliance and Permits

o Ensure that all engineering designs and construction activities comply with local, state, and national regulations, including zoning, environmental, and safety codes.

o Assist in obtaining the necessary permits and approvals from local authorities and regulatory bodies.

o Conduct risk assessments and provide solutions to mitigate potential safety and compliance issues.

1. Project Management

o Overseeing project timelines, budgets, and deliverables to ensure successful project completion.

o Provide technical guidance to site teams and ensure engineering problems are resolved in a timely manner.

o Monitor and track project progress, identifying and addressing any delays or issues related to engineering tasks.

1. Quality Control and Inspections

o Conduct site inspections to ensure that construction work meets engineering specifications and quality standards.

o Review and approve work completed by contractors prior to progress billing.

1. Client and Stakeholder Communication

o Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, designers, and other stakeholders to ensure the engineering aspects of the project align with their expectations and needs.

o Assist in preparing and presenting reports, proposals, and technical documentation to clients and stakeholders.

o Provide regular updates on project status, challenges, and solutions to key stakeholders.

1. Cost Estimation and Budgeting

o Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, and other engineering-related expenses.

o Assist in budget management to ensure that engineering costs are controlled and stay within allocated project budgets.

o Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety.

1. Technical Problem Solving

o Address and resolve engineering challenges or issues that arise during the design and construction phases.

o Provide solutions for engineering problems, balancing technical, financial, and time constraints.

o Analyze engineering data and performance to recommend improvements or optimizations for existing systems or designs.

1. Mentoring and Team Collaboration

o Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, interns, and technical staff.

o Foster collaboration between multidisciplinary teams, ensuring that engineering solutions integrate smoothly with architectural, environmental, and planning considerations.

o Participate in team meetings and brainstorming sessions to provide technical input and ideas.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Licensed Civil Engineer
• At least 2-3 years' experience, highly preferred to be in real estate development
• Equipped and proficient with the following technical skills: Knowledge of Building Codes and Regulations; Surveying and Site Analysis; AutoCAD and Design Software Proficiency; Construction Materials and Methods; Cost Estimation and Budgeting; Project Management and Scheduling; Risk Management and Safety Standards; Technical Writing and Documentation; Knowledge in Structural Analysis and Design
• With strong work ethic, attention to detail, problem-solving ability, written and verbal communication skills, leadership skills, time management and analytical thinking
• Willing to work in Muntinlupa
• Willing to visit sites/projects as needed and required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php28, Php32,000.00 per month
