Finance Manager

We are looking for an enthusiastic and intellectually curious individual to join our Finance team to drive business decisions by delivering insights mined from large data sets. This high performing candidate will help improve finance processes, enhance data integrity, design business dashboards, present business results to management, build intuitive financial models and proactively work with business leaders to drive business results. 

The ideal candidate is someone with strong commercial acumen and has excellent communication skills. He / she will possess a strong technical background in accounting and regulatory requirements and have been deeply engaged with the business and has worked in consulting or commercial finance. 

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to interact directly with senior business leaders and help drive the company's strategic direction.

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in FP&A, Commercial finance, Consulting, Banking that required heavy excel modeling work and business partnering with commercial teams
• At least  5+  years of progressive finance and accounting experience, ideally in a high-growth or regulated environment
• Strong commercial experience
• Big plus if you worked for a company in these industries - FMCG, Tech, E-Commerce, Fintech, Banking
• Strong working knowledge of Oracle NetSuite 
• Experienced at interpreting and communicating data to senior stakeholders and commercial leaders

Relevant Skills

• Advanced excel skills
• Understand intermediate accounting concepts
• Working knowledge of SQL, Power BI, Tableau, salesforce and FP&A ERP systems is a big plus but not required
• Strong commercial experience preferred
• Able to work cross functionally and build relationships with different teams 
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and commercial acumen with the ability to support and influence decision making
• Strong analytical and logical thinking ability
• Familiar with marketing concepts and sales pipeline processes

Reporting to both the Head of FP&A and Head of Finance (Philippines), your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing slides for monthly business and management review of results   
• Working closely with the regional and global finance team to dig into numbers and trends, P&L statements, balance sheet, cash-flow, and management reports as well as ensure they complete the monthly closing on time
• Report on financial performance and prepare for regular leadership reviews
• Generate financial and business insights in management reporting
• Ensuring actuals and forecasts are timely updated in various reports
• Build & maintain financial forecasts and budgets to enable management team to more effectively manage the performance of the whole company
• Improve the overall FP&A function to be best in class by participating in automation projects and to provide clarity to decision making through analysis
• Assist in promoting automation for the FP&A function and company wide automation projects when required
• Work with sales and marketing leaders to regularly review pricing architecture and benchmarks 
• Review effectiveness of business initiatives and campaigns
• Evaluate and approve merchant pricing and business initiatives  
• Through financial modeling and data analysis, advise commercial teams on tactical executions to optimize business growth
• Design a suite of KPIs and create dashboards to help the business monitor and measure their performance  
• Perform market research, data mining and competitor comparisons
• Oversee day-to-day financial activities including general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, and fixed asset management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet reporting deadlines and provide financial insights that support decision-making.
• Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end financial closing processes, including the preparation of financial reports, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Lead the preparation of annual financial statements and coordinate closely with external auditors to support audits and regulatory filings.
• Drive continuous process improvements and data management practices (e.g. identification of opportunities for process automation and efficiency in finance operations). 
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and industry-specific financial reporting requirements (e.g. remittance related licensing requirements - BSP regulations).
• Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to finance and accounting staff, supporting their professional development and technical growth.
