Job Overview:

PYC Foods Corporation is looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic, and detail-oriented Retail Specialist to join our deli team As a vital front-line team member, you'll play a key role in ensuring an exceptional customer experience, maintaining store ambiance, managing daily retail stocking, and supporting operational efficiency. Your proactive approach and product knowledge will directly contribute to customer satisfaction and store success.

Key Responsibilities:

A. Customer Service & Sales (70%)

  • Greet and assist customers courteously and professionally
  • Provide expert guidance and in-depth product knowledge
  • Recommend complementary products and promotions to drive sales
  • Address customer inquiries and minor complaints effectively
  • Maintain a clean, inviting, and organized sales floor

B. Retail Stocking & Inventory Management (25%)

  • Receive and inspect inventory, stock shelves and deli cases following FIFO
  • Ensure displays are clean, fully stocked, labeled, and priced correctly
  • Monitor stock levels and communicate replenishment needs
  • Identify and manage spoiled or expired products in line with protocols
  • Maintain cleanliness and proper temperature of refrigerated deli displays

C. Store Operations & Ambiance (5%)

  • Follow all food safety and hygiene regulations
  • Perform routine cleaning and sanitizing tasks across the store
  • Adhere to company policies on operations, safety, and conduct

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in retail, food service, or deli preferred (but not required for fast learners)
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Basic math skills for transactions and inventory
  • Physically able to stand for long periods, lift up to 25 lbs, and work in cold environments
  • Team player with a proactive and positive attitude
  • Basic computer skills for POS operation
