About the role

DATEM INC. is seeking an experienced Commercial and Cost Engineer (MEPF) to join our team in Makati City, Metro Manila. This full-time role will be responsible for providing strategic commercial and cost engineering services to our construction projects. As a key member of the team, you will play an integral part in ensuring the financial viability and successful delivery of our construction initiatives.

Job Description

  1. Develop comprehensive cost estimates for mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection (MEPF) works
  2. Monitor and control project costs, identifying risks and opportunities
  3. Provide commercial and strategic advice to project teams
  4. Prepare financial reports and presentations for stakeholders
  5. Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure seamless project delivery
  6. Prepare and review tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities, specifications and drawings
  7. Enforce compliance to the Company's ISO Procedure and Policies for both cost and variations in the Project

Minimum Qualifications

  1. Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related discipline. Preferably Licensed.
  2. At least 1 year of Experience as a Quantity Surveyor or a Cost Engineer within the construction industry. Fresh Graduates are welcome.
  3. Proficient in cost estimation, contract management and financial reporting.
  4. Knowledge in AutoCAD, MS Office or SAP is required.
  5. Experience with MS Project and Primavera Scheduling Software is an Advantage.
